The author presents arguments for the necessity of introducing objective measures into effectiveness assessment of interventions in the field of medical aesthetology (aesthetic medicine, aesthetic dermatology, aesthetic dermatology, aesthetic dentistry, aesthetic surgery) and cosmetology. A substantial obstacle here may be due to the fact that the main goal of these disciplines is to improve physical attractiveness - a feature that is subjective by its nature. The author proposes a method for objectivization of the impact of interventions used on the subjective assessment of physical attractiveness in the eyes of external observers, which would allow for a broader implementation of the rules of evidence based medicine into medical aesthetology and cosmetology.

Keywords: medical aesthetology, aesthetic medicine, aesthetic dermatology, aesthetic dentistry, aesthetic surgery, cosmetology, beauty therapy, evidence based medicine, clinical trials, methodology.
